Brian joined the company in 1994 and became a Director in 1995.  Brian grew up and spent his early working life in rural Western Australia and so has a close affinity with the agricultural and regional business sectors.  As the Managing Partner, Brian provides the overall leadership to the team. Since becoming a director of the firm he has worked hard to build a reputation as an accountant and business advisor with a difference.  This has seen the company rapidly expand while continuing to provide old fashioned friendly service demanded by our loyal and longstanding clients. What does he like most about the company?  "The awesome energy of the team, particularly the younger team members who have an infectious, have a go attitude."  In his spare time Brian enjoys the company of his family, particularly the grandchildren.  Brian also enjoys the feel of the wind in his face aboard his Ducati Monster.

Hugh McDonnell, Director and Business Consulting B.Bus, CPA

Hugh joined BHR Papalia in 1999 and was appointed Director in 2003.  With a background in commerce and business accounting including previous experience in boht cost accounting and financial control of companies, Hugh heads up the business development and consultancy activity in the company and is an accredited Principa consultant.  Hugh is closely involved with a number of our developing business clients, often acting in the role of external CFO and works towards improvement of their bottom line.  The business client base is one of the fastest growing areas of our company. Like all the team, Hugh is extremely community minded and has been a stalwart of the Bunbury Rowing Club for 22 years, serving separately as treasurer and then president of the club for a combined total of 13 years.  He also enjoys road cycling and has participated in several long distance rides in Australia and New Zealand.

Dom Papalia, Senior Accountant

Dom commenced working with this firm in 1989 alongside his brother and founder of the company, Joe Papalia.  He is a widely respected member of the firm both with the team members and his clients.  He heads the taxation and business compliance team which he sees as the powerhouse of the firm.  Dom prides himeself on the team's youth, effecient working processing and enthusiasm to maximise the returns for clients.  Dom is a keen Fremantlle Dockers supporter and also follows the Perth Demons in the local WAFL competition.

Amy Cocodis, Accountant B.Bus ASA

Amy rejoined the team at BHR Papalia in October 2007 after working in local government for 14 months. Amy is Hugh's right arm man and assists him with his clients tax and compliance work.  Amy is currenlty studying towards her CPA qualification with one unit remaining to complete her studies.  Amy is heavily involved in local basketball both as a player and a referee.  She also takes time out to do the stats for SW Slammers games.

Justin Golds, Client Manager Justin commenced working with BHR Papalia during 2009. He has over 8 years public practice experience and deals with a diverse range of clients, with a focus on business tax and accounting. He is a local lad, who has built up a reputation as a young, dynamic and progressive accountant who continually exceeds the expectations of his clients. Justin is somewhat of a sporting identity within the South West, with his representation at state and international level in softball, and with his affiliation with a number of sporting clubs in Bunbury, including the mighty Dynamos Soccer Club. Justin is married with three young boys. He beleives in a quality balance between work and family life.

Jason Rossi, Accountant Adv.Dip Accounting

Jason joined the team at BHR Papalia in January 2004.  He is currently studying towards his Bachelor of Business with a double major in Accounting in and Public Practice at Edith Cowan University.
