BHR Papalia are proud to partner with numerous local businesses who are excelling in their industries and making an impact on their communities. This month we would like to spotlight The Potted Warehouse, an indoor plant specialist on George Street in Bunbury that is gradually transforming into a collective space that is as much an experience as a retail space.
Tell us a bit about your business?
Potted Warehouse owners Amanda and Tony Panuccio have been in business for three years, importing retail and wholesale indoor and outdoor pots, plants and gifts. They supply and install artificial turf, provide a plant hire service, and fit out offices and shops.
Amanda is passionate about the transformative effects of plants, especially in indoor spaces. She and Tony hand select all of the plants, with a particular emphasis on stocking citrus trees, succulents and cacti. The most popular plant in the shop is the Fiddle Leaf Fig, which is not only a favourite in-store, but very trendy for interior design generally.
“All indoor greenery at the moment is on trend,” Amanda said. “It’s all about interior design and the urban jungle.”

Amanda and Tony are currently in the process of putting in a café that will supply rustic food, good coffee, and an indoor garden atmosphere for customers – and this is only part of the ongoing transformation happening on site.
“We’re aiming for a collective style shop,” Amanda said.
The first business to become involved in this collective is Embellish Interiors, who have claimed a corner of the space and created an intricate world of furnishings, curtains, blinds and awnings with a pleasantly Victorian feel.
What do BHR Papalia do for you?
“I deal with Lara Procter and Justin Golds, and they are both great,” Amanda said.
“Justin has been really supportive of what we’re trying to do. He often drops in to talk things over, and goes over and above his role. I do the day to day items, Lara does our bookkeeping, and I can ask questions as needed. BHR take a non-traditional approach to accountancy, and it really works.”
What has been your highlight of the past year?
“The atmosphere in here around summer and Christmas is really fun when it kicks in,” Amanda said.
“We love being able to provide something a little different, that people can’t get elsewhere. People who come in here are having fun, they want to be here. It’s a nice atmosphere – they’re buying things for a house or a present, or they’re plant addicts."
